Spring Striper Fishing - Tennessee River

2009 -  March 23rd thru May 15th

Most years I fish the Tennessee River west of Knoxville from mid March thru early May. The weather is the key factor in catching big pre-spawn females. Example: In 2007 water temperatures started out at 50 degree's and were at a normal of low to mid 70's by early May. In 2008 we had above normal cold, wind and rain well into April and the first week of May I recorded a constant water temp of 61.4 degrees. It was tough fishing but we did catch some big fish. I fish for and consistently catch oversize stripers in the spring. Book your trip for a chance to catch the fish of a lifetime.

Our largest striper to date  from the TN River weighed 57 lbs.
